Brendan Rodgers has been appointed as the new head coach of Saudi Pro League side Al Qadsiah, Afrosport reports.
The 52-year-old Northern Irishman was previously in charge of Celtic but resigned in October after falling out with the club over a poor run of form having guided them to 11 domestic titles across two spells.
He also previously managed Swansea City, Liverpool and Leicester City in the Premier League, leading the latter to the FA Cup and Community Shield in 2021.
“This is a landmark moment for the club. Brendan’s experience and track record reflect our ambition and long-term vision,” Al Qadsiah CEO James Bisgrove said.
Meanwhile, Al Qadsiah Sporting Director Carlos Anton said: “His [Rodgers] philosophy is an excellent fit with our strategy. He inherits a talented squad hungry for success.”
