Boniface’s agent to travel to Italy to finalise AC Milan loan deal

The agent of Victor Boniface is set to travel to Italy on Thursday to finalise the Super Eagles forward’s loan move to AC Milan from Bayer Leverkusen, Afrosport reports.

According to reports, the 24-year-old Nigerian’s representative will meet directors of the Rossoneri and finalise the deal on Thursday.

Boniface’s agent is also hoping to complete the necessary paperwork that will make him available to play in the Serie A season opener against newly-promoted Cremonese on Saturday.

Both Milan and Leverkusen have already reached an agreement on the loan fee with the option to purchase him for a reported €30 million at the end of the season.

Boniface joined Leverkusen from Belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise in 2023 and has scored 32 goals and provided 12 assists in 61 competitive games.

He was part of the successful Leverkusen side that won its first-ever Bundesliga title, going the entire season unbeaten.

His imminent arrival means Milan have dropped their pursuit of Manchester United forward Rasmus Hojlund, who is also of interest to reigning Serie A champions Napoli.
