Barcelona star Lamine Yamal took part in a training session ahead of the team’s Spanish Super Cup semi-final against Athletic Bilbao in Jeddah on Wednesday, Afrosport reports.
The 17-year-old has been sidelined with an ankle injury, last featuring in the shock 1-0 loss at home to Leganes on December 15th.
Head coach Hansi Flick revealed in a press conference on Tuesday that Yamal is ready to feature in the game.
“He has trained three or four time with us and he’s ready. He might play,” the German tactician said.
“If the teenager does make an appearance, he will be the focus of attention for the fans in Saudi Arabia who love football, they know all our players and that is great.”

Yamal has featured 21 times in all competitions for Barcelona, scoring six goals and providing 12 assists.
Meanwhile, Dani Olmo and Pau Victor could miss Wednesday’s clash as Barcelona have failed in their attempts to register both Spaniards for the rest of the season. Flick however wants the team to remain united.
“We will wait. That’s the only thing we can do. It’s not easy for them and the team wants them back,” he stated.
“There is the chance that this will being us even closer together. We have to show that we are a team. I have confidence in the club.”
