Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim is hopeful Amad Diallo can return before the end of the season, Afrosport reports.
The Ivory Coast international has been out of action since last month after suffering an ankle injury that ended his season.
Amad Diallo has been the most influential attacking player for Amorim since he took charge last November with six goals and five assists in all competitions.
Speaking ahead of the Premier League clash with Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday, Amorim gave updates on further injured players including Kobbie Mainoo, Harry Maguire, Manuel Ugarte, Mason Mount and Luke Shaw.
“I think it is just Amad [who is out till the end of the season]. Even Amad, we will see the end of the last month [of the season],” he said.
“I have the hope to have Amad before, but we will see.
“Kobbie [Mainoo] can return [before the season ends]. [Harry] Maguire, we have to be careful of, Manuel [Ugarte] will return, and I think Mason [Mount] and Luke Shaw can return also.”
Extremely disappointed to be writing this message in such a crucial time of the season.
Unfortunately, I will be out for some time with an injury.
I will come back stronger than ever!!
