Agyemang: Women’s Euro 2025 star rejoins Brighton on loan from Arsenal

Women’s Euro 2025 champion Michelle Agyemang has rejoined Brighton & Hove Albion on loan from Arsenal, Afrosport reports.

The 19-year-old of Ghanaian heritage was one of the stars of the triumphant Lionesses side during the tournament, coming off the bench to score equalisers against Sweden and Italy in the quarter-finals and semi-finals, with the games being won on penalties and extra time.

She was previously on loan at Brighton during the 2024-25 season, scoring five goals in 22 competitive, and will be with the south coast outfit for the upcoming 2025-26 campaign owing to the stiff competition for places in the Arsenal squad that contains top stars like England duo Alessia Russo and Beth Mead, as well as Canadian world record signing Olivia Smith.

“We are thrilled to welcome Michelle back for another season. We loved working with her last year, and seeing how much she progressed as part of the squad,” Brighton head coach Dario Vidosic told the club website.

“What she achieved during the summer with England was incredible but not surprising. She has the character, work ethic and relentless nature of a champion. As a club, we’re incredibly proud of her.

“She was a pivotal part of our record-breaking season last year, and we’re excited for what this new season looks like with her in our attack.”


Agyemang ‘s heroics at the Women’s Euros saw her named young player of the tournament and also earn a nomination for the women’s Kopa Trophy for the 2025 Ballon d’Or awards.
