Reigning African Footballer of the Year Victor Osimhen has been dropped to the bench for the Super Eagles final 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda in Uyo with Victor Boniface taking his place to lead the attack, Afrosport reports.
Nigeria have already booked their place in next year’s finals in Morocco prompting interim head coach Augustine Eguavoen to making some changes.
Nantes winger Moses Simon takes the place of Ademola Lookman who has withdrawn from the squad due to injury while Sevilla forward Kelechi Iheanacho retains his place.
The midfield is changed with the trio of Raphael Onyedika, Alhassan Yussuf and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru coming in.
