Former Super Eagles midfielder Mutiu Adepoju believes Victor Osimhen has all the tools available to break Rashidi Yekini’s all time Nigeria goal scorer record, Afrosport reports.
The former Olympiacos striker is currently holds the record of all time Super Eagles scorer with 37 goals.
Osimhen is second on the list tied with legendary Segun Odegbami with 23 goals each.
The Napoli loanee has been predicted and speculated to surpass Yeniki’s record and Adepoju believes that the former Lille player has what it takes to be Super Eagles all time goal scorer.
“Osimhen has all it takes to break Yekini’s record,” Adepoju said.
“He’s very committed player, gives everything to the national team so it’s very possible for him to break Yeniki’s record”.
The 25-year-old is currently on loan at Galatasaray and has been in decent form for the red and yellows this season, netting eight times in nine competitive games, coupled with four assists.
