AC Milan midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek will undergo surgery for a fractured jaw after colliding with Parma keeper Edoardo Corvi in Sunday’s Serie A match, Afrosport reports.
The 30-year-old attempted to meet a cross around the 10 minute mark at the San Siro when he collided with Corvi and was taken off the pitch on a stretcher.
According to reports in Italy, Loftus-Cheek broke his upper teeth and suffered a fractured alveolar bone. His injury is considered very serious and is expected to see him ruled out for several months.
The former Chelsea player has featured 27 times in all competitions this season, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
