Calvin Bassey will miss Fulham’s trip to Premier League leaders Liverpool on Saturday due to an accumulation of yellow cards, Afrosport reports.
The Super Eagles defender has been ever-present for the Cottageers this season, playing every minute in the league.
He will however not be part of Marco Silva’s selection after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season last week’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal which means he will serve an automatic one-game ban.
Speaking on the squad update ahead of the Liverpool game, Silva said: “No fresh news, really, just Joachim and Harrison Reed, plus Reiss Nelson from the game we played against Brighton.
“They are going to be out for the game, and of course, the third game of Tom Cairney, plus the to axyellow card from Calvin Bassey.”
Fulham are 10th on the Premier League standings, four points away from the top four.
