UEL: Bodo/Glimt boss Knutsen ready for challenge against Manchester United

Bodo/Glimt manager Kjetil Knutsen says his team are ready for the challenge against Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night, Afrosport reports.

The Norwegian heavyweights will be facing the Red Devils for the first time in an European competition and are seen as underdogs owing to the huge gulf in class between both sides.

Regardless of that reality, Knutsen sees it as a great opportunity to play one of the biggest teams in the world and will look to make it count.

“It’s a great… For me it’s – to say it the easy way – I think is payback for good work, actually. And sometimes you catch the big fish, he said.

“So, that we can play against one of the biggest teams in the world with a great, great history – it’s amazing. We’re really looking forward to it. But still, for me, it’s important that we play a game. We are not here for a holiday.

“We want to perform and we want to test how competitive we can be. But that is a good journey.”

Bodo/Glimt are reigning Norwegian Eliteserien champions and currently log leaders. They occupy 12th spot on the Europa League standings, one point and three places above Man United.
