NFF changes time for second leg of Super Falcons and Algeria friendly

Spain vs Nigeria: Super Falcons look to end woeful Olympics record

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced a time change for the second leg of the international friendly between the Super Falcons of Nigeria and Algeria’s Green Ladies, Afrosport reports.

The NFF, on Sunday, confirmed that the match, which was initially scheduled for Tuesday, October 29 at 4pm local time at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos, will now commence at 2pm

The Nigerian football body provided an explanation for this new development, stating that their North African counterpart has decided to return to Algeria on Tuesday night.

Dayo Enebi Achor, NFF’s Head of International Competitions, said: “This has necessitated us moving the match forward in order to finish the encounter early for them to prepare for their movement to the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos for their return trip aboard Qatar Airways.”

The NFF organised the two international friendlies as part of the rebuilding process for the Super Falcons under interim head coach Justin Madugu, who replaced the American Randy Waldrum after his resignation.

The nine-time African champions claimed a 2-0 win over the Green Ladies at the Remo Stars Training Complex in Ikenne on Saturday thanks to a brace from captain Rasheedat Ajibade.
