The most-sought-after man in the summer transfer window, Victor Osimhen, finally arrived at the Super Eagles camp in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, on Thursday, Afrosport reports.
The 25-year-old, who recently sealed a loan move to Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray from Napoli, joined up with the rest of his teammates in the Nigerian national team ahead of their 2025 African Cup of Nations Group D qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
According to reports, after being unveiled by Galatasaray and undergoing the necessary media duties for his new club on Wednesday, Osimhen hopped on a jet to Nigeria.
The forward, who has played 35 times for the Super Eagles and has scored 21 goals, is the final player expected in the team’s camp, which has now reached its maximum as all 23 invited players have touched base in Uyo.
The Eagles, drawn in Group D of the qualifiers, are due to face the Cheetahs of Benin on Saturday, September 7, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, before jetting out to Kigali to take on Rwanda’s Amavubi at the Amahoro National Stadium three days later.
