World football governing body FIFA has appointed Chadian referee Alhadji Allaou Mahamat to take charge of Nigeria’s World Cup qualifier against Rwanda next month, Afrosport reports.
The 39-year-old will be assisted by compatriots Bogollah Issa (Assistant Referee I), Moussa Hafiz (Assistant Referee II), and Abdelkerim Ousmane (Fourth Official).
Egypt’s Abdelsalam Mahmoud has been named Referee Assessor, while Gambian official Bakary Jammeh will serve as Match Commissioner.
The Super Eagles will host Rwanda’s Amavubi in a matchday seven encounter at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Saturday, 6 September, with kick-off scheduled for 5pm local time.
Nigeria claimed a 2-0 win in the reverse fixture back in March, thanks to a Victor Osimhen brace at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.
