Benin Republic captain Steve Mounie says the Cheetahs are fully motivated for their decisive 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Nigeria, Afrosport reports.
Gernot Rohr’s men currently lead Group C with 17 points after nine matches, sitting ahead of second-placed South Africa on 15 and Nigeria on 14.

“I don’t think i need to motivate my teammates that much. We all know what we are playing for tomorrow which is bigger than every Individual,” the 31-year-old said.
“Everyone knows what we have to do tomorrow to get qualification. I don’t need to tell my teammates much. We will give our best on the pitch.”
